The Last House on
Hollow Street
Halloween, 1987. Three kids went in. Thirty-nine years later, the house knows your name.
Walk the street in the fog, open the gate, try the door. The house uses your name — on the walls, on a flyer, in a voice. It remembers where you hid last night and what frightened you, and each night it draws its own handful of events from more than a hundred, so no two nights are the same. Eleanor hunts by sound; the animals outside will tell her where you are. Ten endings. Some only open if you do something no one would think to do. Some only if you keep coming back.

Gameplay
One Night. Never the Same Twice.
The House Learns Your Name
Sign the guest book on the porch and the house uses it — on the walls, on a flyer, in a voice that says it more gently each time.
She Hunts by Sound
Run and she hears you. Hide, hold your breath, and listen to her listen. The animals outside give you away.
It Remembers You
The house keeps count of your nights. It remembers where you hid and what scared you, and it won't look there first this time.
A Hundred Things It Can Do
More than a hundred possible events, and each night the house picks its own handful. You will never see all of it in one night.
Ten Endings
Some only open if you do something no one would think to do. Some only if you keep coming back.
No Cutaways
When something comes at you, the camera stays on it. Set the Startle level to Full, Reduced or Off at any time — the dread stays, the jumps are yours to choose.
Full Voice Cast
Every line spoken. You choose your narrator, as in the original Hollow Street, and the house talks to you, not to the story.
Built for Streams
Optional Twitch chat voting lets your viewers take part. Optional microphone input lets the house hear your room.
Halloween-Date Mode
On October 31st the house knows what night it is.

Install: unzip the folder anywhere and run the .exe (keep the .pck file beside it). The very first launch prepares the game's graphics for your PC and takes a minute or two. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
Content warning: this is a horror game. Flashing light (never faster than three flashes a second), sudden loud sounds, and things that come at your face out of the dark. It has children who died, and a house that grieves. No gore. Not for younger players.
Prefer a story in your pocket? The original Hollow Street is a fully voiced choose-your-path mystery with seven endings — free on Google Play and in your browser, no ads.
Hollow Street PC: Frequently Asked Questions
The demo, the full game, requirements, and streaming.
What is The Last House on Hollow Street for PC?
A first-person horror game for Windows. Halloween, 1987: three teenagers went into the Blackwood house on Hollow Street and never came out. You walk the street, the house, the cellar and tunnels, the corn maze, the well and the barn across the fields in one night. The house uses your name, hunts by sound and remembers how your last night went, and it draws its own handful of events from more than a hundred, so no two nights match. Ten endings.
Is the demo free, and how long is it?
Yes. The demo is free on itch.io and covers the first part of the night: the walk up Hollow Street, the gate, the front door, the foyer where the clock stopped at 12:07, the downstairs hall and the parlor. Most players finish it in about ten minutes. The full game is sold on the same itch.io page.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 64-bit, a 4-core 3.0 GHz CPU, 8 GB RAM, a DirectX 12 graphics card (GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or Radeon RX 580 8 GB or better) and 3 GB of free space. The demo download is 903 MB. Headphones are strongly recommended: she hears what you hear.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC". What do I do?
That screen can appear the first time you run a new game from a small studio. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". Unzip the folder anywhere, keep the .pck file beside the .exe, and run it. The very first launch prepares the graphics for your PC and takes a minute or two.
Is this the same game as the Android and browser version?
Same street, same night, different game. The original Hollow Street is a voiced choose-your-path story for Android and the browser. The PC edition is first person: you walk every room yourself, in real time, and the house reacts to where you are and how loud you are. Both are free to start.
Can I adjust the jump scares?
Yes. The Startle setting has three levels, changeable at any time: Full, Reduced and Off. Reduced keeps the thing in the room but softens the sting; Off keeps the dread and removes the jumps. The game never cuts away during a scare.
Can I stream it or make videos?
Please do. Streaming and video are welcome, monetised or not. The game also supports optional Twitch chat voting and microphone input, so your chat can take part and the house can hear your room.
